Hi All,
Below is the error message i am getting when trying to refresh the data in power bi service either manually or in scheduled refresh.
There was an error when processing the data in the dataset.
Message: The command has been canceled. Table: phonecalls.
Cluster URI: WABI-SOUTH-EAST-ASIA-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Activity ID: 2ee23fa8-7054-42e4-b9cf-e120910cbb68
Request ID: fcb69598-dec6-9a96-97f4-289c7eeac9ca
Time: 2018-09-19 10:17:57Z
The data refresh is happening without any errors in power bi desktop but unable to do the same in power bi service.
The scheduled refresh was working fine till Monday (17-09-2018). Not working now.
The dataset size is around 200MB. The scheduled refresh is done with OAuth2 connection to the data source. Please let me know how to resolve the issues.
Hi @Gagansb,
From the error message, the issue seems to be related to the 'phonecalls' table in your data model. Please download the report from Power BI service and open it in Power BI desktop, refresh this table manually to see if there existing any error or warning. Besides, you can check the applied steps to this table one by one to see if there is any error.
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi Yuliana thanks for the idea.
I did download and refreshed in power bi desktop. It refreshed correctly without showing any errors. If any other suggestion please let me know.
Hi Yuliana,
The refresh happened correctly in power bi desktop. But after publishing the report into power bi service and trying to refresh in service its giving me the same error. Please let me know any other suggestions to resolve the issue.
Apologies if my earlier reply created any confusion.
Sometimes these errors are very vague like in this instance, I would recommend checking everything in your Power Query first and refreshing all the queries listed there, once everything is loaded look for errors/failures that pop up. After that check your model as well and then republish if all looks good.
From my experience this error can been caused due to null values populating in the columns used to create the relationships or duplicates showing up in a column that is meant to hold unique values and is used in a relationship with another column in another table.
Hi Thanks for the reply.
But when i download the same report and refresh in power bi desktop it gets refreshed with out throwing any errors. Its becoming difficult identify if there are any issues with query or the model.
Like you mentioned "null values populating in the columns used to create the relationships or duplicates showing up in a column that is meant to hold unique values and is used in a relationship with another column in another table" - i checked every relationship if there is any error in regards to 1 to many relationship. But everything is fine and not showing any errors.
Some times it shows error with respect to 1 to many relationship and i even removed that relationship and tried to refresh but getting the same error. Let me know if any more inforamtion required from my side to come up with a solution.
