Unable to connect PowerBI dataset using XMLA endpoint after upgrading workspace experience (preview)

Use to be working when it is in old workspace experience. After upgrading to new workspace experience, cannot connect it via connection string anymore.

Error message: Unable to connect to the data source. Please verify the connection properties and credentials. Either the database 'xxx' does not exists, or you do not have permissions to access it.

Please note that I can still access the dataset in the service using PowerBI desktop or Excel, so there is nothing wrong with my credentials.

There is a similar issue had been submitted to power bi product team. ICM: 163341314

This should be fixed which is being deployed to PROD end of next week.
