1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi  @payyans ,

In your case, please find below the steps to resolve the issue:

  1. If your tenant was created recently (within the last few days), Microsoft may impose restrictions on Fabric trials for new accounts. Kindly confirm the tenant’s creation date with your IT team.

  2. Microsoft Fabric trials may be disabled by administrators. Please verify whether trials are enabled for your tenant. You may contact your Fabric/Power BI administrator to confirm if trials are permitted.

  3. If your organisation already has an active Fabric capacity (e.g., F64 or higher), trial activation will be blocked. You can check this by navigating to Microsoft Fabric Admin Portal > Capacity Settings. If an existing capacity is available, it should be utilised instead of initiating a new trial.

  4. Fabric trials may not be available in certain regions due to regional restrictions. Kindly ensure that your tenant’s home region supports trial activation.

  5. Attempt to activate the trial again by navigating to Fabric Homepage > Account Manager (top-right profile icon) > Select Free Trial. If the option is unavailable, try accessing My Workspace and create a Fabric item (e.g., Warehouse or Lakehouse). This action may trigger the trial activation prompt.

Hi @payyans

And just a quick note, what I have found recently is if you have recently created a new tenant, a new try to start a fabric trial of might not work as expected. This is due to some people trying to game the fabric trial system.

Hi v-echaithra,

Hello @payyans ,

If you're using an email address other than your official organization email (e.g., a dummy or personal email), it won't be accepted.

Additionally, if you have an organizational account with a Pro license, you're eligible for a 60-day free trial. However, if a trial has already been used on that account, it won't allow you to start another trial immediately.

Thanks,

Hi Pankaj,
I'm unsure that what solution was provided by you. Let me explain my issue here.
First of all, I have not used up my Fabric trail period. I just started a week ago. I am able sign-in, browse through the Fabric user-interfcae, workspace creation, etc.
When I try to add any "New Item" such a Lakehouse into one of the worspaces, created by me, it gives the error "Something went wrong".

I hope the issue is clear. Thanks in advance for your help.

Even though, my Fabric free trial subscription started  6 days ago, the Fabric portal shows, "Trial 59 days left"

Hi @payyans ,

I am not sure that is a problem.  You get a 60 day trial and the counter might stay at a higher n number for a while.   If you give over your avatar it might show a sixteenth number with the number of days left.
