URL Query String Parameters not working

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to filter a report on PBI Service using url query parameters.

This is the original URL - https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/reports/06cfe45f-46f1-4bb5-96ad-353ab96e142d/ReportSection?experie...

(I noticed that extra 'experience=power-bi' is added automatically to everything recently)

Table Name - ADGroups

Column Name - Group Name

The URL I'm trying to pass - https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/reports/06cfe45f-46f1-4bb5-96ad-353ab96e142d/ReportSection?experie... Name eq 'MSFTProjPortfolioManager'

But nothing happens. The report loads without anything filtered.

I also tried https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/reports/06cfe45f-46f1-4bb5-96ad-353ab96e142d/ReportSection?experie... Name eq 'MSFTProjPortfolioManager' but Power BI Service just ignored that. I also tried removing the experience =power-bi part but that just got added back when the page loaded and it still did not work.

Any idea what I'm missing out?

Hi , @Anonymous

According to your description, you are filtering a report using query string parameters in the URL.

According to your url , i think this may cause by the space in your column name.

The url format is like this:
?filter=Store/Territory eq 'NC'

So for your need , you can try to use the :

https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/reports/06cfe45f-46f1-4bb5-96ad-353ab96e142d/ReportSection?experience=power-bi&filter=ADGroups/Group_x0020_Name eq 'MSFTProjPortfolioManager'

For more information, you can refer to :
