Hi,
From time to time our users experience problems with entering reports. Many of the workspaces in our company creates a dashboard where they add text tiles to navigate to the different reports. E.g. three tiles, one for sales, one for purchase and one for stock. For each of these tiles we edit the tile and chose the link type "Link to a dashboard or report in the current workspace". When clicking on the tiles you are then send to the report that you link to. This navigation works for the person who made the dashboard. However the navigation does not work for the persons the dashboard is shared with.
This does not happen every time, so it seems like a bug. This is only a problem for private sharing, it is not a problem when you share the dashboard through an app.
Is there someone who experiences the same issue? and do you have a solution to the problem?
Hi jonasebsen,
I have made a test on your issue but can't reproduce your issue, could you clarify more details about your issue?
Regards,
Jimmy Tao
Hi Jimmy Tao,
Thanks for your help!
You will not experience the issue, if you are a member/admin of the workspace. So the only way to test it, is by sharing (private sharing) a dashboard to a person and test it on their computer. Again, this is not happening every time, sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't.
What I do:
1. Create a text/picture
2. Clicks on "Link to a dashboard or report in the current workspace"
3. Chose a specific report that I want the tile to navigate to
4. Share the dashboard privately
Issue: The person can see the tile but cannot click on it. I, since I made the dashboard will be able to click on it and is thereby navigated to the report. It is only people the dashboard is shared with who is not navigated to the report, nothing happens when they click on the tile.
