Hi,
I have two SQL databases on one platform where the tables have been combined to report on the offices in a single power bi report.
I then have 2 other sql databases (of the same type) that exists on two other platforms (3 platforms all together). A gateway has been set up for each. However, I can't see away in the power bi report to link to each gateway, then the sql data to combine all the 4 databases together into the same report for all the offices?
How can this be done?
Thank you for your help
Best wishes
Ros
Hi @Ros-ec
If the databases are Azure SQL Databases you do not need a gateway and that could work.
Otherwise you can only use a single gateway to a dataset (Power BI Report/dataset). So you would need to create 2 new data sources on a single gateway in order to connect the dataset using the gateway.
Yes, we have decided to have a server that can point to each of the data sets and then a gateway to that server through power bi. Thanks for your help.
