The Amount of Uncompressed Data on the gateway client has exceeded 10 GB when it really hasn't.

Hi,

I got a message for one of the scheduled refreshes this morning saying the following:

"The amount of uncompressed data on the gateway client has exceeded the limit of 10 GB for a single table. Please consider reducing the use of highly repetitive strings values through normalized keys, removing unused columns, or upgrading to Power BI Premium.
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details."

The source table (in SQL server) is actually only 7GB, so it is def less than 10. Is this a one time thing type of issue or is that 10GB just for advertisment purposes for PowerBI Pro?

Hi there

I think what can happen is if you have got any compression enabled on your SQL system it could be smaller than what it is when it is uncompressed.

I would suggest looking at the Vertipaq analyzer to see if you could make the model size any smaller?
