Stsatic RLS: unable to add users to roles
Hi,
I added RLS to an exisitng report and published the same in premium Workspace.
I m also the workspace admin.
While I m able to add users to other reports within the same workspace, it is failing for this one report.
The report uses Python to import data and RLS is applied only on this table.
On clicking save, the spinner runs endlessly and finally errors out.
The error message is provided below:
Activity ID: 45c4f41a-9d2e-440a-858c-86e80bbcb54b
Request ID: a1e80d25-fbfb-76fd-6afa-5405a53f9906

Client version: 2102.1.04813-train
Cluster URI: https://wabi-north-europe-f-primary-redirect.analysis.windows.net/
Even for other reports where it eventually succeeds, it takes lot of time to save changes.
Please help.

Mannu

always check support.powerbi.com
Power BI customers with premium capacities using Row Level Security may experience issues while adding external guest users (AAD B2B) to roles with the message, "The Role could not be updated. Please try again later". As a workaround, users can move their workspace to Shared, add the external guest user, then move it back to the capacity. Engineers have identified the issue and a fix is expected to be deployed by end-of-day 02/20/2021

Hi lbendlin
I m trying to add users belonging to the same domain. (not external users)
Is this issue applicable to all users?

Hi Anonymous ,
After testing,it's OK for me to add an internal user in Premium capacity with RLS,see below:
Would you pls double check whether the user is in your tenant?
If you change the capacity to shared one, whether the issue still occurs?
Try to user another browser ,clear all the caches to see whether the issue still exists?

Hi v-kelly-msft, lbendlin
Yes. All users belong to the same tenant.
It is still failing. I tried adding users today.
