Shared Dashboard Loading Error

I hope someone can help with the following topic:

Our endusers (with pro-licence) are facing issues in displaying a shared dashboard and report unless they are added as members to the app workspace/group. Which is however not the intension as they should get read-only access.

Some time ago dashboard sharing worked without any issues, but now although the error message appears to be temporary, the problem persists.

Dashboard tiles and visuals appear with the x and circle around it, saying 'couldn't retrieve the data for this visual'.

Originally we shared dashboard out of a group workspace.

We have also tested the following process with AppWorkspaces, but the issue remains:

Create AppWorkspace (private) --> fill with content --> publish app --> add members and share dashboard.

The enduser can see the overview page with dashboard name, report title and dataset name but as soon as he opens it, visuals cannot be displayed.

I have just shared an App to a user (Who has a Pro License)

And they can see the reports and dashboards without any issues.

The only thing i can think of due to your issue, is have you enabled Row Level Security and or created Roles?

thanks for your reply. Created yes, but not assigned to any email addresses. I will delete them and check whether the dashboards are visible afterwards. Nevertheless shouldn't it work anyhow? Or what would be the way when using RLS?

Hi @KaD

When RLS is applied they will still get to see the App and will only see their required data.

thanks again. I deleted the RLS and the dashboard is visible. So, although RLS was not assigned it affected the shared dashboard. I therefore do some research on setting up RLS properly.
