Setting a default value for a non-date slicer

Hi all

I am quite new to power BI and am currenty looking to add a default value for my slicer. All of the solutions proposed so far are based on dates but my data does not need/contain a date.

My current data is layed out as:

Total

Category 1

Category 2

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @SomebodyIAm,

Currently, it is not supported to set default selection for a slicer. Here some ideas for you to vote.

Slicer default selected values

Default Selected Slicer or Tile-By Value Configuration

And PG has mentioned that they were looking into this request and this feature might be released in the future.

I should add that my default option needs to be 'Total' but can then be switched to cat 1 or cat 2 whenever.
