Greetings all;
I manage a multi-page report and dashboard used by multiple departments in a firm. It relies on Power BI Data flows for its data refreshing, and that refreshing schedule is about once every 20-25 minutes.
There is an executive who wants one element on a single page of the reporting ecosystem that relies on that dataflow to ONLY refresh at 5 specific times per day, and never before that(ie they do not want to see data "fill" into time buckets before the time bucket is passed. In the "2 pm" time bucket which goes from 10 - 2 pm, they want it null until 2:01 -2:15, then it can fill with the final number).
This request is beyond my skillset, has anyone solved or built out a similar request in the past?
Respectfully,
Chris
Hi @KernChrisW ,
There is no way to do that within a single report. You could get that one element separately in a separate report and set the refreh time for that report to be the 5 times a day.
But, the next issue would then be that you want to combine those two reports. The best way to do that is most likely to create a dashboard that uses both reports OR you could just use a tab in one report to refer to the other report's output and that would allow you to keep one report.

what about using Power Query .... to create variables and its own measure table that wouldnt be used for any other element/report....and that query had the time visibility build into it. If this timeframe then true, else () etc?
