Sending emails to audience when report refresh fails in Power BI online

Dear Power BI Community,

I hope you have a great day. May I ask for your opinion regarding the following situation?

In the Power BI environment I am working with it can happen occusionally that the Power BI online automated report refresh fails and reports are not being refreshed.

In such events I would like to automate the process so that emails are being sent to the audience that due to technical issue with the source data, report was not refreshed.

Could you please recommend how it can be done in Power BI ecosystem and what is the best practice?

I would be grateful for any direction that can be used as solution.

Hey @AdamMetz23 ,

in the refresh settings of the dataset you can add contacts that should be informed, when a refresh fails.

You can use e-mail adresses or Active Directory Groups (not security groups).

If you use the same groups for the access of the report, the right group will be informed in case of a failed refresh:
