Semantic Models

Hello everyone!

I've developed some semantic models using Tabular Editor and would like to upload them to Microsoft Fabric.

  1. Is there a way to upload .bim files to Microsoft Fabric without using Tabular Editor while ensuring they are uploaded as semantic models?

  2. My model includes translations, but when I upload it to Fabric, users need to adjust their regional settings to view the translated fields. Is there a way to set the default language to Greek (el-GR), or a method to upload the reports so that the translations are displayed by default?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @DimitraG

The only other way I can think of uploading the BIM files is to use Azure Devops or get integration in order to sync your changes to the app workspace.

For the translations you can look at this translation border, which might assist you. Create multiple-language reports with Translations Builder - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Thank you for your response!

I’m experiencing an issue with my translations in Power BI.

I have already created translations in el-GR and I create a report in Power BI Desktop, and when I uploaded it to the Power BI Service (which is set to English by default), the translations appeared correctly. However, I have another report using the same data connection, and the translations aren’t showing up there. I’m unsure what settings I need to adjust for this second report to display the translations properly.
