Hi All

Is there a security via active directory instead of individual permissions? Also is it recomended to deploy to sharepoint or to the service?

Do you mean Azure Active Directory and authentication security? If that's it, I would suggest you to refer to this doc: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/security/azure-ad-choose-authn.

You can use Azure AD Groups for permissions. Service without question.
