Hi,
We have a report that takes data from on-prem Excel spreadsheets and Salesforce. We want to schedule a refresh of this data at last once a day. We have an Enterprise Data Gateway setup and running with the latest version of the software. When we go to configure the refresh for the data Power BI asks for the data credentials to be updated because they are invalid.
Clicking on Edit credentials brings up a login screen for Salesforce. We type in our username and password, Salesforces asks for permission for Power BI to access Salesforce which we approve. Then we get the following error message:
Failed to update data source credentials: Hide details

Does anyone know what the issue might be or how to solve it?
Thanks,
Craig

Looks like it was the configuration of our Salesforce only allowing whitelisted IP Addresses connectivity and our Azure tenant wasn't listed.
It seems that your problem has been resolved by yourself. Thanks for sharing the root cause.
Best Regards,
Herbert
