Hi team
Apologies if this has been asked before and I missed it. I have a report that is set to auto refresh every half hour between 7:30am and 5pm NZT. The auto refresh happens on time however the data in the report does not update until after 1pm NZT. 1pm NZT is UTC 0:00.
I've looked around and can't find a solution that works. No matter how I try to change my data or measures, the auto refresh simply will not change any data when refreshing until after 1pm NZT.
Any help would be appreciated and let me know if more info is needed

Hi @BucketBruh ,
Apologize for the issue you are facing.
Since Power BI Service operates on UTC time, scheduled refreshes and published reports may not correctly align with New Zealand Time (NZT) due to daylight saving adjustments.
When scheduling a refresh, choose UTC+12:00 Auckland/Wellington (instead of UTC+13:00) as below :
Ensure scheduled refresh times match NZ business hours.

Hello @BucketBruh
All scheduled refreshes in Power BI Service are based on UTC time, regardless of your local time zone. This means that your refresh schedule set for 7:30 AM to 5 PM NZT is actually interpreted as 6:30 PM to 4 AM UTC

Modify your scheduled refresh times to align with when your data source updates in UTC. For example, if your data source updates at 1 PM NZT (UTC 0:00), schedule the refresh shortly after this time
Or Use formulas to adjust for time zones within Power BI.
Hope this helps.

Hi there
Thank you for your response. I'm not sure it's applicable as my data source is an odata feed and should update whenever requested. Not at a specific time.
The issue is that although the refreshes happen at the correct time, the data on the report does not refresh until 1pm when auto refreshed. If I manually refresh, everything is perfect. I'm not sure why there's a disconnect between the two
Hi @BucketBruh ,
Thank you for your question regarding the data refresh issue in Power BI. It sounds like you've already identified that manual refreshes work correctly, but the scheduled refreshes are not reflecting the latest data until 1 PM NZT. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Hi there
Thank you for your response. I've gone over all these steps and none of them help. It's definitely a problem with the power BI service and not the power BI application as manually refreshing and publishing in the app is perfect.
The auto refresh and publish of power bi service just doesn't seem to understand the differences between NZT and UTC
