I've setup an Enterprise Gateway with a few datasource, and have started to schedule some of my datasets to Refresh Automatically. They are contained within multiple Workspaces.
My concern is that it would be very easy for me to loose track of what is refreshed when, and end up with duplicate version of the same dataset refreshing etc. If we allow another person (or more) to schedule refreshes too, this could become a huge mess.
Previously in other BI tools i have been able to view all Scheduled Refreshes in one screen, so I have an overview across the business and can tackle duplicates or old datasets no longer required.
I've looked in the Forum and Ideas section, and cant see anything mentioned along these lines. Does anyone have this issue? Has anyone come up with a solution for it?
Thanks
Thanks. I've added my Idea (https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/14889201-schedule-refresh-overvie... so if you have a chance to vote that would be great.
I've voted for your idea too, sounds good.
@ZLJ @ankitpatira Great ideas. I have voted on your idea. ![]()

A simple solution in the interim. As it should be part of you data governance model that nobody within the workspace group is allowed to take over the dataset to set up the auto refresh. As with any take over, the previously stored credentials will be removed and the new user will need to provide new credentials for the refresh to be functionning. Be creative about it and relay the message.
As far as the gateway management, it should be part of the Admin portal screen where you get to see all the gateways and their statuses. Expanding the scope of the Admin Portal to non Office 365 Admin is a must and I think MS is working on it.
The gateway notification system is limited, users should be notified of all event and not just when it fails.
