Hi,
When I lock my computer, my dashboard refreshes without a problem. If I shut off my computer, does schedule refresh not work? Hence, I will have to keep my computer on at all times (or locked)? A co-worker of mine shuts off her computer when she leaves every day but she has an important dashboard and it doesn't refresh because the error says:
Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed. Your Personal Gateway is offline or could not be reached. Ensure the Gateway computer is on and you are logged on to it during the scheduled refresh period.
Does that mean it's because her computer was shut off? Is there a way to work around this so the dashboard can refresh every day on a schedule when her computer is off?
Thank you!

Only the machine running a gateway needs be to on all time.

According to this article,

Gateway machine should be always up and running to cater for data refresh queries.
if your computer was shut off, the Personal Gateway is offline or could not be reached.
You will have to keep my computer on at all times (or locked) for schedule refresh.

Thank you for your reply. I have installed the on-premise data gateway on my computer and shared it with another user in my organization who has the Power BI that needs to be refreshed on a schedule. She is connected to this on-premise data gateway because it showed up on her account (because I shared it with her email). If I keep my computer on at all times and she turns her computer off, will the on-premise data gateway work for her and refresh her dashboard? Or does both our computers need to be on at all times?
Thank you
