SaaS and Embedded(PaaS) Difference Explained

I want to build an application that is a SaaS application (note: it is my application that is on SaaS mode).

I would like to enable analytics for my application. I want to use Power BI for analytics based on the recommendation here

Is there a document where Embedded(PaaS) and SaaS "deployment modes of PBI" are explained with details

(1) of who (Customer/my SaaS application/PowerBI) manages what (datasource/dataset/reports/dashboards) in both modes of PBI deplyments? If there are different variants possible with who manages what (per mode), please do elaborate.

(2) of what are the known PBI limitations (eg: customization in PaaS mode of PBI is zero) for a customer using my SaaS application?

HI @jcsclement,

#1, AFAIK, current only publisher can edit and do other management on these embedded contents.(he can use REST api to control turn on edit operations)

#2, I also not found any useful document mentioned these, maybe you can contact to SAAS support to aks them if power bi embed features allowed on their service.

For power bi embedded, you can take a look at following official documents to know more about this:

What can developers do with Power BI?

Embedding with Power BI

Power BI REST APIs
