SSAS On Prem Datasource: OnPremise error: Sorry, something went wrong
Hello,
one of our reports uses an on premise connection to 2014 SSAS Cube.
Everything was fine until 10th of September, from then onwards, it started failing with a rather generic error: "OnPremise error: Sorry, something went wrong".
Report uses multiple queries from SQL Server and SSAS, when the SSAS query is disabled / removed, report refreshes fine.
Also, refresh works fine in Power BI Desktop (August 2020).
Our gateway version: June 2020 (planned an upgrade to August 2020).

Anonymous Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2. - v-easonf-msftCommunity Support
Hi , Anonymous
How do you connect to your SSAS Cube ,live connect or import?
Can it be a problem with the User Name Remapping settings?
Have you check if the settings for EffectiveUserName and Custom data is correct?
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-enterprise-manage-ssas#manual-user-name-remappingIf you are using import mode, will the same error occur in live connect mode?
