Im having trouble with my on premise data gateway.
Error on power bi "This report couldnt access data source. Contact xxxx ,author to have it fixed"
I am the author/the creator of the report. when i checked my on premise gateway it is connected and same with the settings on the data source of power bi.
Could you help me? Before it was working properly but now it is not.
Thanks!
It is your decision which credential type to use. If you use "basic" auth then you need to specify the SQL login and password. If you use "windows" auth then you need to specify either domain\user or email address and NT password.
I highly doubt that you have a Windows login without password.
can you confirm that your gateway can successfully test the connection to the SQL data source with the provided credentials?
Hi @lbendlin thanks for your reply.
I've checked the gateway connection and encountered an error
However my login credentials is set to windows and does not need password so when i try to change the credentials it asks for a password.
Could you help me?
Thank you
I think i need to use the SA account of my sql server right?
