When i connect to Power BI desktop via SQL Endpoint for Datamart and use Import mode, the most recent days worth of data does not come over. For example, today is 8/25/2023 and the datmart contains data for 8/24/2023; however when I connect to powerbi desktop via the SQL endpoint via import mode that specific day is not imported. If I connect via Direct Query it does. Any ideas on this?
If you are using a data source that is located on a remote server, you may want to consider using a gateway. A gateway is a server that sits between Power BI Desktop and the data source. The gateway helps to improve the performance of data refreshes by caching the data locally on the gateway.
The most likely reason why the most recent day's worth of data is not imported when you connect to Power BI Desktop via SQL Endpoint for Datamart in Import mode is that the data has not been refreshed yet. When you connect to a data source in Import mode, Power BI Desktop imports all of the data from the source into the Power BI Desktop file. This can take some time, depending on the size of the data source. If the data has not been refreshed since the most recent day, then that day's data will not be imported.
To fix this, you can try refreshing the data manually. To do this, follow these steps:
You can also schedule the data to refresh automatically. To do this, follow these steps:
If you are still having problems importing the most recent day's worth of data, you can try the following:
Thanks, already did all that and still does'nt work --- and like I said above it does work in Direct Query mode.
