Reshare permission in Power BI service

hi,

I have a workspace in a premium capacity. And i want my Viewer ( workspace role = Viewer ) to be able to share the report.

I have given the user read, and reshare permission for both report and dataset, yet the viewer is not able to share the report.

Dataset and Report permission :

When trying to share, asks for a pro license. ( we know that the user (viewer )does not require any license to read the report if the workspace is in premium capacity) Then why is it asking for a pro license while sharing ?

Hi @Anonymous 

A viewer role can only view reports. They cannot do anything else.

Also if a user has a viewer role with a Power BI Free license they also cannot do anything besides viewing the report.

If you want to share a report you have to have a Power BI Pro license.
