Objective: I want to analyze the number of users viewing each report and conduct trend analysis on the overall uptake of Power BI in my organization. This analysis should cover all reports across the organization, not limited to specific reports or workspaces.
Goals:
Data Requirements (for at least 3 months):
Current Challenge: The Feature Usage and Adoption report under Admin Monitoring is helpful but does not display data by report—it only shows overall statistics. Additionally, it is currently not functioning.

HI @rammy_rammy
Enable Audit Logs in Microsoft 365 to capture report-level usage data. Use the Power BI REST API (GetActivityEvents) to extract logs with details like date, report name, user ID, and views. Automate data extraction with a script, process it in Power BI, and create a dashboard to analyze report popularity, trends, and enhancement impacts. Use this as an alternative to the Admin Monitoring report if it's not functioning.

Hi @rammy_rammy
The tools that I have used in the past for similar requirement to track report usage and viewers are Power BI usage metrics, Log Analytics, Application Insight.
But somewhere I had read tht usage metrics report will be retired in 2024.
You can check all these via log analytics and build a custom report on top of it as per your requirement.
Thanks,
Pallavi
