Recently I discovered that a coworker took ownership of a dataset that I manage. He took ownership quite awhile ago and doesn't remember the circumstances behind it. This caused a few minor problems. What I'd like to have is a report or alert when a dataset changes ownership. Even just an email to the old owner of the dataset saying "xxx has just taken ownership of the dataset y" would be great. Does anyone know how to do this?

Unfortunatly this feature is not available as of now, you can post/vote suggetion on Ideas (powerbi.com)
To help with imapct, I would suggest to enable failure notification to a wider group rather that dataset owner that way it will get your attention immediatly

Thanks @arvindsingh802. I created this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=5d1d1888-a60d-ed11-b5cf-501ac5248c93 . Failure notifications can only help in a scheduled refreshed dataset and this one was not.
