Hello all,
I'm quite new to Power BI so sorry if this is a silly question with an obvious answer!
I'm having a problem with a report I've written when I try to share it with other uses.
The semantic model uses data from an SQL database, which I needed to get special permissions to access (I don't expect the intended audience of the report to have these permissions also), but now when I'm sharing the report, nobody is able to view the visuals and this is the error message they are seeing
Is there any way for me to fix it so this can be viewed by others?
Hi, @SarahFL
Thanks for Jonvoge's reply. This side of the test everything is fine, from the screenshot you gave, it appears that you are not currently configuring the gateway connection correctly, when you create a gateway connection in the Service, your current account can be viewed properly reports. So, you need to configure the connection.

Hi Jonvoge,
Thank you for your reply
I've checked the credentials and it says that 'admin has granted access, credentials are not required'. I think this may be because I'm accessing the database through an on-site gateway
Will this stop others from viewing my report if they do not have access?
Hi SarahFL
Most likely you just need to reenter your data source credentials in the Settings of your Semantic Model.
You need to go into your Workspace, click the three dots on the row of your Semantic Model and select Settings, to do Data Source Settings and re enter the credentials for your data source.
Let me know how it goes.
