Hi Folks,
Getting some weird errors this morning. Some of my reports are generating the issue above when trying to load on the service which is bizarre as we dont have a premium capacity. Also, for these reports the subscriptions have disappeared. These are only impacting reports that have been refreshed manually in the desktop and published to the service. Im more concerned about the loss of my subscriptions as they are quite complex. Any ideas?

Hi @mcgilla ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum. Also thank you @Akash_Varuna for your inputs.
The "report definition inconsistent" error often occurs when a report is manually refreshed in Power BI Desktop and re-published, which can overwrite metadata or report IDs. This can cause Power BI to treat it as a new object which is also why your subscriptions have disappeared, as they are tied to the original report ID.
While subscriptions cannot be recovered once the report ID changes, you can:
For future changes, consider using deployment pipelines or maintaining consistent source PBIX files to prevent disruptions.
I hope this will help you understand better, if you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out.

Hi @mcgilla Check the dataset and report definitions to ensure they are consistent, as changes during manual refresh might cause issues. Restore earlier versions of the reports if backups or version history are available in Power BI. Unfortunately, lost subscriptions need to be recreated manually based on saved configurations. Verify that the workspace is not mistakenly linked to Premium Capacity and contact Microsoft Support if the issue persists.
