Refreshing dataset frequency with Power BI Premium Per User License
- 1 year ago
Hi Mariette
I agree with rajendraongole1 . With a Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license, you should be able to refresh datasets up to 48 times per day. The limit of 8 refreshes per day typically applies to Power BI Pro licenses.
To clarify, the 48 refreshes per day limit applies per dataset. This means each individual dataset can be refreshed up to 48 times in a single day, not just 8 times. If you’re only able to set up 8 refreshes, you might want to check your workspace settings to ensure it’s configured correctly for Premium Per User capabilities

Thank you!
Hi Mariette -With a Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license, you should indeed be able to refresh a dataset up to 48 times per day. This limit applies on a per dataset basis, not across all datasets. This means that each individual dataset can be refreshed up to 48 times in a single day.
In short, with a proper Premium Per User license setup, you should be able to refresh a dataset 48 times daily without being limited to just 8 times.
Hope this helps.

Hi, rajendraongole1
Thanks, I cannot refresh more then 8 time a day. So it could be that I do not have the Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license or the the setup are wrong?
