Hi,
We are facing a strange issue which we noticed 2 days back.
Our report datasource is Azure SQL Server. In Power query, we are creating a custom table by merging 2 -3 tables and an append query is also done. When we refresh in power query, data is coming properly.
But after publishing to power bi site, the table is showing very few records once it get refreshed(it shows refresh completed without any error in refresh history and all other tables are working fine). we downloaded the pbix file from site and refreshed again in power query and there it again works fine.
I deleted the table and created a new table(by copying the steps) - but still the issue is there.
Can anyone please help me with this issue?
Why is it behaving in different way when we refresh it from desktop app and power bi site?
Edited: Another observation which we found is that table crossed 1000 records recently, before it was tested and was working properly. can it be the cause?
If I remove the append part from power query and does that in DAX, will it help?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The issue got automatically resolved after refresh on sunday.
Is there a way to clear the cache from web app? we cleared the cache drom desktop which didn't help.
Also, we have just 1 datasource that is Azure SQL DB
Hi jayeshv,
Clear the cache and try again and also upgrade your gateway to the lastest version. In addtion, about the data size limitation, you can refer to this similar thread: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Limitation-of-data-size-in-the-Service/td-p/344970. If the error still occurs, can you share some fiddler traces for further analysis?
Regards,
Jimmy Tao
