Hi, @Soutteman

It seems like you are having an issue with the gateway when refreshing your report in Power BI service. There could be several reasons why this is happening, but one common cause is that the gateway is unable to communicate with the data source over HTTP.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can start by checking if the gateway version is up to date. If it has not been updated for a month or longer, you may want to consider installing the latest version of the gateway and see if you can reproduce the issue.

You can also test the connectivity from the gateway to the Azure Service Bus by running some PowerShell commands. If everything is OK, you should get a TcpTestSuccedded = True. If the firewall is blocking the connections that the Azure Service Bus makes to the Azure data centers, you will want to add the IP addresses for your region for those data centers to allow list.

If the issue persists, you can collect gateway logs. In the On-premises data gateway user interface, select Diagnostics and then select the Export logs link near the bottom of the page. Review the latest gateway logs and look for Proxy, Authentication, and Timeout errors.

If you are still having issues, you can check if the gateway is installed in the same region/cluster as your data source. You can also try logging into the Power BI Service using the In-Private Browsing or in Chrome Incognito, so that you don't use the cached information. Then, click on the gear icon in the upper right and select Manage Gateways. Click on Administrators and add the account that needs to be able to manage the Data Gateway in the Power BI Service.
