Python Visuals Disabled Recently
Hi Everyone!
I have been using a python visual for about 3 months now, but since last Thursday I am seeing the message "Python visuals are currently disabled in your organization". According to some contacts no seetings were changed from the company side. We haven't published any changes since last week. Is this a common issue more people are noticing? Any recommendations?

This isn’t a general outage that message appears when the “Enable Python visuals” setting is disabled in your Power BI admin portal. Even if your team didn’t make changes, this setting can be turned off by a Power BI Service Administrator or due to tenant policy updates from Microsoft 365 / Azure AD.
Here’s what you should check:
- Confirm tenant setting
- A Power BI Service Admin should go to:
Power BI Service >>Admin Portal >>Tenant Settings >>Developer Settings >> “Python visuals” - Make sure it’s Enabled for the relevant security groups (or entire org).
- A Power BI Service Admin should go to:
- Check for security group changes
- If the setting is already enabled, verify that your account is still part of the security group allowed to use Python visuals.
- Recent policy or compliance changes
- Sometimes, org-wide compliance or IT security updates can automatically disable scripting visuals (Python & R). Check with your Microsoft 365 or Azure AD admin if any policies were applied recently.

Hi jonathanrsx , In addition to rohit1991 response, i am adding some points.
Please try below things to fix the issue.
Microsoft began rolling out updates to the Python runtime environment in Power BI Service. Upgrade to Python 3.11 version and use Updated libraries. Older visuals may break due to incompatibility.

I was al;ready on python 3.12, but I created a new venv with the exact packages listed on the second link. It didn't solve the issue, but late last week there was another admin change that made it work again
