Python Visuals Disabled Recently

    Hi jonathanrsx 

    This isn’t a general outage that message appears when the “Enable Python visuals” setting is disabled in your Power BI admin portal. Even if your team didn’t make changes, this setting can be turned off by a Power BI Service Administrator or due to tenant policy updates from Microsoft 365 / Azure AD.

    Here’s what you should check:

    1. Confirm tenant setting
      • A Power BI Service Admin should go to:
        Power BI Service >>Admin Portal >>Tenant Settings >>Developer Settings >> “Python visuals”
      • Make sure it’s Enabled for the relevant security groups (or entire org).
    2. Check for security group changes
      • If the setting is already enabled, verify that your account is still part of the security group allowed to use Python visuals.
    3. Recent policy or compliance changes
      • Sometimes, org-wide compliance or IT security updates can automatically disable scripting visuals (Python & R). Check with your Microsoft 365 or Azure AD admin if any policies were applied recently.
