Publish from Desktop reports as successful, but doesn't actually publish the report to powerbi.com

Publishing from PBI Desktop to powerbi.com worked great for many months until it stopped working for me recently. I'm on Premium SKU. Publish will seem to succeed in the UX, but then report isn't updated and if you click on the link that PBI Desktop provides it fails to open it with the below error. I tried both updating the existing report (when it asks to refresh the dataset) as well as publishing a new report (with a new file name). 100% repro and failure to share report via powerbi.com w/rest of the organization.

This is of course blocking our BI workflows. Is this a known issue?

@GilbertQ, upload from Workspaces page works. Report now says it was updated today, but the first page in it is still the old content, while all other pages have been updated to new data. I'm guessing this is somehow specific to default report page failling to update. Known issue?

Can you confirm you have got the latest version of Power BI desktop installed?

Also what happens when you try and upload the PBIX file via the Browse option?

Was on April version

Just installed May version. Same repro with attempt to publish. I also don't see the Upload option. I do see Create and Browse on the left-side ToC:

To see the upload option you need to go into the App workspace and not from the home location.
