We have just started using PowerBI. We are using the Premium Pr Capacity. We have created a workspace and added the report to the workspace. We then add a web part to the SharePoint site. As I understand it you need to assign the users permissions to the SharePoint site and the Power BI report. This is not easy to maintain. Is it possible to assign the sharepoint 365 group to the PowerBI report? Or how would you make sure that everybdy on the site can see the report with out IT always having to add news users everytime a new user is assigned to the site?

Hi, @segato
You can set up a distribution group or a security group for the new users, and then add this group to the workspace permissions, then you don’t need to add it repeatedly every time.

If it doesn’t solve your problem, please feel free to ask me.

Hey @segato ,
usually you would take Active Directory groups to give access.
Can you check if that works?
Unfortuntly it is a communication site, and it has no group associated. Does this mean that everytime we add a new user to the SharePoint site we would need to add permissions to the report too?
I will try with the 365 group and get back. Thanks
