We are rolling out Power Pro and Premium. When users open a report deployed on Premum Capacity, a popup will appear telling them to sign up for a free account before they can get started. How can we turn this off? Or can we pre-grant a free Power BI license to the entire organization?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, you can pre grant Power BI Free license for all employee
to do so, create Azure security group in which all employee will be added and under licenses enable Power BI Free licnese for this group.

Hi. I think you can avoid that. The way to do it is assigning the Free License to each user. The tenants usually have by default the possibility to turn on Power Bi Free to any user. The office 365 admin can assign licenses. When a user doesn't have any license of Power Bi assigned it will pop up the "sign in for the free account". I'm not sure if there is a bulk way to assign free license 😞 but you can do it one by one. Test with one of those. I think that will avoid the free account creation that is asking the users (turning on Power Bi Free for the users one by one).
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!
