I face the following problem:
I have an MS List with different columns that all have an English name:
I have now created a PowerBI report on the data in this MS list via "Integrate --> PowerBI --> Visualize this List" option.
Everything worked fine but now I'm facing the following problem:
Depending on the location of some of the viewers of the MS List / PowerBI Dashboard, the naming of some columns changes.
Affected are e.g. ID, Title and sometimes Date values. Those columns change into the local language and as a result, the charts that use data from those columns are not working any longer.
Here, ID changed to Identifykator and Title changed to Tytul.
The language changed to Polish, but I also so Finnish, Spanish, and French in previous cases.
As a consequence, I see the following error on visualizations that use the affected columns:
My question is: How can I prevent the language change and the related breakdown of reports from happening every time a user from a different location opens the PowerBI report or MS List?

As the report was planned to be a "easy" one just from MS List directly without using PowerBI Desktop, I need to check whether it's worth the effort or whether we would simply "repair" the report everytime it breaks (ie, everytime the language changes).

Based on your description, this is because it's usually due to locales in Power BI, which can automatically adjust the language and formatting based on the user's locale.
To manage this feature, you can use a function in Power BI to dynamically adjust the language and format of the report based on the user's locale: USERCULTURE().

Dear Albert,
thanks for the proposal. It seems that this requires PowerBI Desktop and goes beyond the capabilities of the PowerBI functionality integrated directly within MS List. I have not yet tried connecting the MS List/SharePoint data to a PowerBI report directly built within the Desktop App. If that is the only option to bypass the language issue, I will take a look at it.
