PowerBI post dataset API stopped working

We and our customer ( HP ) heavily rely on powerBI REST APIs to create datasets. It stopped working for us today. Please add us to the exception list. How can we get notified earlier about these changes? And why did this deprecation happen?

@Anonymous

POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/datasets stopped working.

Microsoft is probably retiring the existing datasets as well.

Microsoft doc link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/push-datasets/datasets-post-dataset

What would be the next steps?

Hi @BilalM ,

Could you kindly let me know which API you are using? I conducted a test to push data to my dataset, and it worked well on my end.

POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/datasets/{datasetId}/tables/{tableName}/rows

Best Regards,

Bof

I have the same problem, posting a new dataset described in this article. This will result in status code 410 (Gone)

POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/datasets

I have also tried pushing new data to the dataset and that works fine, it is only creating a new dataset which does not work

Edit: A week later it now works magically
