Hi, @Anonymous ;

There is no definite fix for this and it could be mostly intermittent, retrying may help. But you can still check these points.

  1. Logout and login again.
  2. Check and confirm you can access other Microsoft 365 services like Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
  3. Check your account has necessary Office 365 license for PowerBI.
  4. White list the Power BI link/domain.
  5. Disable the flag for out of blink CORS.
  6. If zScaler proxy/firewall is used, disable SSL inspection for powerbi.com domain.
  7. Check the behavior for your colleague and try from their machine.
  8. Take a look at this post and create a support ticket for assistance if necessary.

Is this on shared or premium capacity? Do you have a Pro license?

Hello, it turns out that our user had experienced this issue when tying to access a report through an email, when using a laptop it is working but when using a desktop from the office the application metadata error is showing.

I asked different questions.

Also please specify if this is a workspace or an app, and if there was recent meta data change in the report but you haven't updated the app yet.
