Good morning to the Microsoft community,
I am trying to set up a Power BI app linked to a workspace. Along with my reports, I wish to integrate links to SharePoint folders and Excel files directly in the content area. While creating links to reports and dashboards within the workspace works perfectly, I encounter a permissions error or connection refused error when linking to resources outside the Fabric environment. This issue only occurs when I select Open in -> Content area. However, it works if I select "new tab" or "current tab."
Could someone help me understand why this is happening?
Thanks!!
Hi @mgiardini ,
Has your problem been solved? If it was resolved, please mark my answer as a solution.
Hi @Anonymous ,
unfortunately no. My IT saying that there are no particulary constraint on teams nor in Power bi. I've no clue about it...
Thanks Zhou, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I've tried to copy and paste only what is in source (between the ""), asked me to login and then this message appears.
If I copy evething (<iframe ...)
I've tried with different excel file or power point, but the result is the same.
Thanks again
Hi @mgiardini ,
Ensure that documents are stored in SharePoint within your organization, for more information, please refer to the following article.
Hi @mgiardini ,
When you select Content area option, it should be ensured the link can be embedded.
1.'test' uses a direct url.
2.'test2' uses the embedded url.
Best Regards,
Wenbin Zhou
