Power BI datasets connector not seeing the Usage Metrics Dataset

Hi,

I have an App Workspace with multiple reports, datasets, etc...  I am also an Admin user for this App Workspace.

I have randomly chosen a report (Activity Report Live) and selected to view the usage metrics for this report. Once the usage metrics report appears, I click 'Edit' and I then remove the GUID, that is narrowing down usage metrics to view just that report, so all reports' usage metrics are available to see. I then click 'Save a copy', and name the copy 'Usage Metrics_Activity Report Live'.

At this point, I can see the Usage Metrics_Activity Report Live present in the App Workspace under the reports section. See below.

Question 1:
Why can't I add the report to the App?  (you'll note the the toggle to add the report to the App is greyed out).

I also understand that the Dataset for the newly saved Usage Metrics_Activity Report Live will not show in the App Workspace, however it should appear as a Dataset when connecting Power BI Desktop using the 'Power BI datasets' connector.

Question 2:
Why am I not seeing the Usage Metrics_Activity Report Live Dataset when connecting Power BI Desktop using the 'Power BI datasets' connector?

Thanks.
