Power BI Service is Slow

Hi,

Some users complain that Power BI is slow. By other users is very fast.

What can be the problem?

Is there a browser that is 100% trustable?

kind regards,

Davina

I created a ticket about this yesterday and got the answer this morning, that problem has been solved:

"Our product team has fixed the issue post which the service started working as expected. Also, our product team has taken necessary measures and kept proper checks in place to avoid any similar issues going forward."

Everything seems to be working. I have given feedback to Microsoft, that this kind of unavailability should not happen and when happens, they should be the one noticing it first by proper monitoring and then asap inform users.

      Hiv-alq-msft,

      Thanks for your feedback.

We don't use a gateway because our data source is in the cloud. We work with snowflake data.

All our users work in the same location.

Maybe the solution is the use of the browser?

      kind regards,

      Davina

    HI, Anonymous

I wonder if the users are all in the same location. The location of the gateway installation can have significant impact on your query performance. Try to make sure that your gateway, data source locations, and the Power BI tenant are as close as possible to each other to minimize network latency.

    Best Regards
