Power BI Service Error

Receiving below error in Power BI Service. Report refreshes properly in Power BI Desktop. 

 

We couldn't parse the input provided as a Date value.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action.

 

Pls advise.

Hi @PowerDigitize_1 ,

Please download the related pbix file from Service, check the columns in which the data type is set to Date, and check if their values all have the correct date format. Also, here are some threads with the same problem as yours, you can refer to the solutions there to try to solve your problem. Hope they can help you.

Power BI Error - Correcting the error: We couldn't parse the input provided as a Date value.

DataFormat.Error: We couldn't parse the input provided as a DateTime value.undefined. 


I found the solution to the issue. I needed to select "Using Locale" when selecting to change the "Type". See below.

@PowerDigitize_1 , the Date column is giving a problem. Do service and desktop has the same amount of data?

 

you need to check the input data for the date column. In case you are premium customer, you can use SSMS to run a single table refresh and check
