Power BI Semantic not adding new rows from excel auto refresh

Hi,

I have a Task Scheduler set up for auto refresh data for Excel connected to SQL Server. That is working just fine. However, I notice that the Power BI semantic model(or the report) is not updating the new rows of date despite completed message that refresh was done.

If I manually refresh the semantic model, it will add the new rows.

Did I miss a step somewhere for the auto refresh to add new rows of data into the semantic model or ?

Thanks 🙂

Hi @Hopeisgood1

Can you confirm that you did use a CTRL + F5 to remove the cache?

Also did you change the reset to default to reset any filters?

Ok I reset everything. Let's see the next auto refresh looks like tomorrow morning and I will let you know then.

Thank you!

Hi GilbertQ, It seems to be somewhat working.

Microsoft is very slow today, making it difficult to confirm fully working.

Hi @Hopeisgood1,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

Thanks and regards

The next automated refresh is at 9 am Arizona time and I need to check it out afterwards and then I can confirm if this is resolved or not.

Hi GilbertQ!

Can you confirm that you did use a CTRL + F5 to remove the cache? I was not aware of this so I looked it up. WOW! HAD NO IDEA. So I cleared the cache just now.

Also did you change the reset to default to reset any filters? What do you mean by that?
