Hey everyone,
So, I'm looking to build out a custom Power BI Usage statistics report. I'm going to want to look at historically and currently how much each dashboard was used, by who, failures in the load/refresh of data sets, etc.
Who can point me in the right direction for something like this? I've been looking at the API route but I don't have PBI Service Admin Account access, so I'm not sure if that is a route I can take or not. I'd love to hear and see others' experience with building out PBI dashboards and how you're gathering the data.
Thank you
Hi @dheberer90 ,
The current only way to really get data about usage is to take one of the existing usage reports and perhaps making a change or two to it in your own version. The API is really going to be the best path for you and you will ahve to be an admin for that. Also, note that the data is 30-90 days saved only by default.
