Hi all,
In my Power BI rapport I have set the de option 'Persistant filters' on. Because I don't want user be able to save filters. But now something confusing is happening. If I now open the app in the server I see this when i'm hovering on 'Reset to default':
This is what I expected. Now when I change the slicer to a different value. I see this:
I still can't hit the button. Also like I expected is to be. But then I hit a button with a bookmark and then this happends:
I now can hit the button. And when I hit it. everything goes back to default. Isn't this strange?
Can somebody explain whats happening here? Is it a bug?
Thank you!
Hi @Anonymous ,
I guess you are getting confused with the concept of Persistent filtering.
When Persistent filtering is enabled from options and settings, it means that the end users can't SAVE FILTERS IN PBI SERVICE.
Bookmark is a pre-saved feature in Power BI. So when you use a bookmark in services, the "Reset to default" option is again clickable for navigating back to original state of report. However, the next time report is opened by anyone, the report will open in original state.
In other words, Bookmarks are not something which are saved by end users at PBI service end and that's why "Rest to Default" becomes clickable.

Hi Anand24,
Thank you for your respons. I understand it better now.
What is the reason that de button doesn't become clickable when a user change a slicer? Isn't that also pre-saved?
