Existing dashboard using Pareto by sio2Graphs visual has been working without issue in both desktop and service. Starting 4/8, the graph started appearing blank in the service, but still fine in desktop. I've updated the visual to the lastest version in desktop and re-published to service, but still appearing blank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Apologies for any inconvenience. This has to do with the publishing process. I recently upgraded to version 8.0.0.0. It was a major change, and some of the formatting will have to be re-applied. For example, label rotation and stacking because these two formatting options were condensed.
Please make sure you have the latest version of both the PBI Desktop (March 2024) and that “Pareto is showing 8.0.0.0. in the desktop and the service. From the desktop, You have to re-download “Pareto by sio2Graphs” and confirm the version by right clicking the graph icon and looking at “about”, then fix any changed formatting and re-publish, you might have to click off of pareto onto a bar chart and back. In the service, confirm “Pareto” version and click off of “Pareto” onto a bar chart and then click back onto “Pareto”. This should solve the problem. There may be some delay in the roll out to the PBI service.
I have listed the changes below with an example of “Pareto” built with new version 8.0.0.0. In short, sometimes, I have noticed three things on publish, you have to flush out any cached visuals using the old version, the new version has to be requested and sometimes there is just a delay. I do not control or have visibility into this piece of the process, and regret the trouble it causes. Thank you for using “Pareto”.
In addition, there is a bug that needs to be fixed, I am working on it. If you have a blank or any data other than text for a category it will seem like the visual blanked out, but it hasn’t. It is displaying a message that the user cannot see. Anyway, please make sure your categories are all valid text and you should not have any problems.
Warm regards,

Hi there.
I have the same issue about Pareto Visual not showing on the other users' screen but on my screen (PBI Desktop). I downloaded the latest Pareto Visual from Web saying Version 8.0.0.0 and updated my previously downloaded Visual. However, when I check the Version using "About", it still shows 7.12.0.10 NOT 8.0.0.0. Is there anything I did wrongly?
YunshengLi, I would recommend deleting the Pareto visual completely from your file, saving the file, and then installing the Pareto visual again. Hopefully, you will then have the latest version.

Hi @cuscuna
If your Pareto chart is part of a paginated report, remember that a paginated report can appear blank until you select parameters and choose View report.
More details on this can be found in the Paginated reports in the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn.
Then if you’ve customized the visual (e.g., fonts, colors, sizes), ensure that these settings are compatible with the latest version of the visual. Check if any customizations are causing conflicts or rendering issues.
Sometimes cached data can cause display issues. Try clearing your browser cache or refreshing the Power BI service page to see if the visual renders correctly.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider reaching out to the visual’s support team. You can contact them at cynthia@sio2graphs.com.
Best Regards
Zhengdong Xu

Thank you for your response. It is not in a paginated report, but rather a traditional dashboard file. I appreciate the contact information and will make use of it. Much appreciated!
