I have a Paginated Report with two date parameters with default values. The default values function fine in Power BI Report Builder but not in Power BI Service (unless I disable preview features).
In Power BI report builder:
In Power BI Service with preview features enabled:
In Power BI Service with preview features disabled:
This appears to be the same as referenced in Solved: Paginated Reports: Default Date Parameter Broken i... - Microsoft Fabric Community, but this issue is not resolved in my end where the original poster indicated it was.
Same issue but only on parameter depending on other. For example, if my query is select * from table where test = :MyParam
It's working fine in the Power BI Paginated Report Client but not in the service. When I select a value to 'MyParam', the dropdown list is empty.
If I try to hardcode the value of MyParam ''select * from table where test = 10'' That's working fine too.
Check out the May 2026 Power BI update to learn about new features.
