Hi Team,
We have been encountering multiple reports error related to the resource issue lately. The issues only happens recently without any major changes to the dax. It came as a nasty surprise as all these reports have been working fine at the beginning of the year and the issue only started late last month and early this month.
So far, these are some findings from our side:
All the resource issues happen on reports with Matrix visualization.
Some of the reports can be resolved by:
1. Remove the column Dimension and Measures and then added them back. ( No idea why the dimension and measure behaves in such a way)
2. Create additional column dimension that was previously on the side filter onto the visualizations. ( This is even more absurb as the amount of data loaded is the same when we added additional column dimension instead of reducing any data load on to the report)
3. Removing Measures that can be manually calculated easily by users. (Last alternative, as the purpose of having reports are all about getting the users with all their require measures)
etc.
This happens only at the PBI Services report as we dont encounter this resource issue when we were testing and developing the reports on PBI Desktop.
So, we would like to understand whether there is any major modifications recently that results in all these resource issues.
