Online datasource mixing - excel and direct query azure

Hello,

I've create a pbix locally with direct query to an azure data source, which is working perfectly. I published ithe report in my workspace and again all data are shown including all visuals with direct query, after I put my oauth connected data right in settings.

Now I wanted to show some additional data that are only available as an excel file. When I import the file locally into a table and publish it, all direct queries are working. Now, when I connect the table from imported excel data, they will be shown, but all direct query visuals get an error ("data for visualizing not found"), but the excel visual gets shown.

I just want a report as a dashboard where some data will be updated periodically and other data (excel) will be updated only when I update the powerbi file locally.

How to get, what I want?

I was not able to find a message in the forum handling my problem, or I just don't understand enough so far to recognize that a message already handles my problem. Hopefully it is a new question :-D.

Thx in advance

Christian

Put the Excel file on a OneDrive and connect to it via the SharePoint Folder (not File) connector.
