Hi, I have a Power BI report that I created in Power BI Desktop using a direct query from SQL. I shared the report on Teams with the people that need to access it and everything works well. However, I would like to add a scheduled refresh. I am having issues, as it seems my Power BI does not recognize my credentials.
If I click on 'Edit credentials', I try to login using the same credentials I use for Power BI Desktop, however, it does not do anything. It just loads forever.
I managed to get it connected by skipping the test, however, when I tried to schedule a refresh, it gave me the following error:
Could you please provide some guidance? I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi @Mon_Go27 ,
Is this your first time to connect to Oracle DB data source? For this kind of data source, you need to download and install Oracle client in advance, and you can connect to Oracle database after installing the matching Oracle client driver.
Which data sources the report are connected to? Please check whether the gateway was installed in the same machine with the one which ODBC DSN exists.
If you are connecting to Oracle DB through a gateway on the powerbi service, you must install the correct Oracle client software on the computer running the gateway.
Try again by referring to the steps given in the official documentation below.
Connect to an Oracle database with Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
Manage your data source - Oracle - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
In addition, please review the following similar threads, hope they can resolve your problem.
Why am I getting “Data source name not found and no default driver specified” and how do I fix it?
If it still does not help, please provide more details.

@djurecicK2 really? that's weird, it does not seem to be updating automatically...
Hi @Mon_Go27,
If you are using direct query, then you do not need to refresh the report....
